1961 World Tour

New York, July 12 (Wednesday)
Leave New York 8:20pm. Met the party at 6:00pm. When we got on the plane at 8:20, sun was still shining. Had supper, dozed just a bit and again it was sun rising, but 6 hours had been lost.

Holland July 13 (Thursday)
The church where the pilgrims worshiped before they came to America. It was at noontime and they were having a wedding.

Paris July 14 (Friday)
Full day of sightseeing, mostly cathedrals and temples, squares and parks, palaces, museums. At night a tour by bus to the fair and street dances & fireworks, celebrating the 14 of July, their day of freedom.

Paris July 15 (Saturday)
Versailles

Worshipped in a Baptist church

July 17 (Monday)
Morning pack to leave room by noon. Leave Paris at 5:20 for Madrid, Spain. 1300 miles height 30,000 feet. Had supper on plane flight 1:54?

July 18 (Tuesday)
Madrid
Morning sightseeing. Breakfast in Dining Hall. Lunch in Restaurant. Dinner on roof.

July 19 (Wednesday)
Madrid
Morning to the Summer Palace of the Kings of Spain at El Escerial.

Tour to Pompeii, Naples

July 24 (Monday)
Cario Egypt
Arrived at the Victoria Hotel, 8:00pm. Had dinner and was so tired went straight to bed. Cairo has a population of three and 1/2 million.

July 25 (Tuesday)
Still in Egypt
Went to the Egyptian museum to see the finds from the tomb of King Tut. Afternoon to the Sphinx and Pyramids, rode the camel, made a picture.

July 26 (Wednesday)
From Cairo to Beirut
About all day the plane was delayed about 4 hours and awlfully hot and tiring trip. In Beirut a nice hotel air conditioned.

July 27 (Thursday)

July 28 (Friday)
Our first motorcoach drive all day to Damascus to stop at some Bibical places dating back to 6000 years. Leaving the country of Lebanon.

July 29 (Saturday)
Jordan
By coach to Jerusalem, crossed the Moab Mts to the Dead Sea & River of Jordan.

July 30 (Sunday)
In Jerusalem service at 8 o'clock in the Garden tomb, led by Rev. W. Nunn.

In Vienna afternoon tour of the Woods with a coffee break in the beautiful Garden with music.

August 6 (Sunday)
Morning 8:30 service in the hotel room with James Luck bringing the message.

August 7 (Monday)
Sweden Denmark with lots of sightseeing and the palace and the changing of the Guards.

Afternoon drive to the Palace beautiful gardens. Many lakes and pretty flowers. Guide hard to speak English he would say that word just passed out of my head.

Sightseeing in Stockholm the birthplace of Greta Garbo

In Stockholm service in Dr. Sutleys room with E. J. Kearny preaching.

August 14 (Monday)
Oslo Norway
It rained most of the time but everything beautiful. Lots of lakes fishing and boat riding.

Morning sightseeing in city. Saw Princess Margerite home near Buccaham Palace. In Hyde Park to see the changing of the Guards
